It is the client's responsibility to inform Alaska Guide Outfitters, in writing, of any known medical problems or of any medications the client has to take either daily or in the event of a medical issue.  In addition, if the client is on a special diet or cannot eat certain foods, please communicate this before booking a trip.  Any allergies or other medical, emotional, mental, and/or physical conditions must be disclosed prior to booking.

Most trips are very strenuous.  Some clients may not be able to enjoy their trip if they are not physically able to participate.  Every effort will be made to accomodate all clients provided we are made aware, in advance, of any limitations for special conditions.

No liability can be accepted for injury, illness or loss of personal effects while under hunt contract.  Clients are to insure themselves if they desire insurance coverage.

The weather conditions in Alaska vary greatly, especially during the hunting season.  The temperatures are generally between 40 and 60 degrees during the day and dip down into the teens and 20's at night.  A sleeping bag comfort rating of 0 to 10 degrees would be recommended.  Buy the best hunting gear you can afford.  Rain gear and sturdy footwear are extremely important items.  Spending a little extra in these areas is advisable.  But don't try to break in new boots when you get in to hunt camp.  Do that at home long before you head north.

When making your airline reservations, allow a few extra "insurance" days at the end of your hunt.  It isn ot uncommon that weather gets so bad that flying is not possible to get you in or out of hunting camp on the days originally scheduled.  Hunt contract days are not adjusted for inclement weather.

Transportation from arrival in Alaska to departure for hunt camp will be by car, boat or small airplane depending on which hunt package is booked.  Transportation into hunt camp will be by small plane or boat.  Soft-sided duffel type bags are recommended.  Your gear should weigh less than 70 pounds total.

Aluminum firearm cases are recommended for travel on commercial airliners, but a soft carry case may be used for transportation to and from hunt camp.

Hunt dates book up fast, so early booking is recommended.  We operate quality - not quantity - hunting trips.  A Safe and successful quality hunt is our priority.  Your hunt is the dream adventure of a lifetime and we work to make your dream come true.  We do not do any rope or technical climbing in the mountains or glaciers.  All air taxi operators utilized are safe and competent pilots.
